I'd be willing to donate some of my fantasy teams if they are desired.

Some more thoughts: AFL, NFL, CFL, and NCAA would be great, but what about fantasy teams. Some of the best mods are fantasy uniforms and what about Local8Hs new stadium. I think we should add a league that has the best of the created uniforms and stadiums. We could maybe even create a roster with the best football players ever and let them play on the fantasy teams like All Pro 2K8. If we could use Old Coachs 1948 mod that would be cool too. That way would have the best of all the Maximum Football mods from different eras. Just some thoughts. This will take more time, but I think it would be worth it.

If local wants to chip in his stadiums I'd be freaking thrilled. my other thought it is would be nice to take a bunch of those stadiums and customize them to teams (adding some team names and such around the stadium) essentially at the end of the day anything the guys are willing to chip in will be used.

Hoop27,
I am having trouble with the NCAA pics right now as it takes longer than the NFL. Do you have a date you want all my stuff by. I already have the custon league done without the rosters. I have a 16 teams that look really good. It took me all day picking which uniforms. There are over 100 really good ones.

Thanks can't wait for this to came out. It's gonna be a lot like MVP 07 I hope. It would be cool if someone could make a installer for people who don't know what there doing with the files and there will most likely be a lot of files. What are we gonna call this mod anyway?

A mod is generally anything a user creates that affects a game. From something as simple as making a uniform to actually cracking open code and changing the way a game does things.

Modding is the process of doing the above.

I dont think an installer will be required since David kept everything simple we shouldnt need to worry about unpacking and repacking files (like eagraph does as an example) however I will try and keep it simple enough so you can just open the file and place it in the folder with little hassle.

as for a name. i'm open to suggestions.

The one problem is that the CFL rosters are in a great deal of flux as the draft is on Wednesday and training camps will open in the next couple of weeks. But I can see what I can do, based on what the CFL teams have posted on their websites.

Why not just use Grey Cup day 2007 as the cut-off and use that for the teams' rosters? Yes, you won't have updates like the Kerry Joseph trade, but trying to keep the rosters up-to-the-minute will be a lot of work.

Actually before switching back to Madden to play my fantasy NFL league i used to play it on MaxFB, and i have edited along with the stads i made from scratch for all the NFL teams. I guess i can upload it at my website, but i would like to add or clean up the files. This would delay the other two stads ( which truthfuly already delayed on my own time, for i got busy).

Oh DonMVP those edited High School Stads you sent were awesome,I'll post them soon

No, I'll pull off the team rosters from tonight or tomorrow, based on what each team has slotted into their depth charts. Joseph in Saskatchewan and Bishop under center in Toronto changes a lot of the league's dynamic.

For those that don't know, the CFL has a 42-man Roster. Therefore, I'll be using the 40-man roster set for this this is more set for the Canadian Game than the 45 man set, which looks to be more of an American roster profile. This means that some players that would normally dress will be inactive, but it does work out better in the long run. We aren't talking about significant players here, just like an eighth offensive lineman or back-up fullback or depth nickel-back.

It occurs to me that I will have to do some biographical info with regards to players Nationality. If we are going to do a mod like this, then the import ratio should be a factor.
It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta gum.

Do we need new L1s for the NFL and CFL? I have already done the AFL and don't think we need to do the NCAA since most of the uniforms have been updated by Simmer, Mykal, and DonMVP.

therhino. You are a freaking animal dude!!!! I cant believe you have all the pics done lol. now we will need a roster to match it up with.

Well if you want to think that it's up to you, but it wasn't really hard. I found a website where I downloaded all the NFL player cards(I just wish they had AFL, CFL, and NCAA) and then just converted them. I wasn't completely sure who was still playing and who wasn't so I converted everything from the early 1970s I think. If anyone knows a good site to get the portraits for the AFL, NCAA, and CFL that would be great.

Local8h , glad you liked those stadium . Thought it they might look cool putting wood on walls and benches .I hope those our ok with MSO94 , since i made them for the early days of football . Here i thought making the ALL AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE TEAMS From 1946 to 1949 was a problem . Making the early 20`s teams a real pain not enought pictures to guide in making uniforms. But so far got 11 of 20 done .Might add more .

alright guys I'll setup an email addy through gmail this weekend so we can keep everything together. I just got home from work and I am back there in ummm 6 hours LOL (close - opens suck!) From what I can see so far our three biggest gaps are rosters (though the CFL one will be done soon! Brock you da man!) Stadiums (aka do we want to have one stadium for each team with customized ads and team stuff on the walls?. and profiles and playbooks.

So the 3 part question would be as follows....

1) Do we want to worry about rosters for the NCAA? It's a HUGE task with all those teams. And I dont believe we have an NFL roster going yet. (there is one out there but he hasn't signed up.)

2) With all the created stadiums and what comes in game I think we have about 12-15 (as a guess) different looking stadiums. how nuts do we want to go on that?

3) How should we attack the playbooks and profiles? I think this is important so we have uniqueness in the game (aka not every team is running the same profile or book) I've made a couple playbooks (just taking plays and sets  that have been created and then picking and choosing what I would call.) But I haven't made a profile yet. (I will but haven't had a chance yet.) Is this a big deal to anyone else?

If you guys want to throw your two cents in on this I would appreciate it so I know where we should concentrate on. Again I'll have a list of everything we do and dont have done Saturday so we can have a clear picture of where we are. The only thing I suggest is to take our time and lets do it right and once ;)

You guys are AWESOME!!
