HELP-Want less bullpen usage in league

just purchased the game on saturday. how do i get the game to use relievers less, like pre-80's style baseball. i chose players from the 60's but the bullpens are being used like modern day. I want the best pitchers to end up with 20 or more complete games. i think it may have something to do with the era chosen but not sure.

Make sure you use closer option "off". In my 16-team league, I'm keeping a close eye on appearances/CG leaders. In my personally-managed team, my no 1 starter has 13 CG out of 29 starts, but he's the exception.

Shaun has done his best to try to make the default XML all-inclusive, but if you really want to recreate a particular era, you're gonna have to create your own XML template.
