I'd not have posted this yet because I haven't got a solid repro however I've crashed the Palm twice in this game forcing a reset. I will try to get some good repro steps but I'm just remarking on it up here in case anyone else has seen it.

RE: Palm TX - Crash to reset MANY times - Game UNPLAYABLE

Post by jvgfanatic »

Palm TX
Build: 1.42

Upgrading this to extreme annoyance. France 1944 (my favorite scenario in ANY WWII game) crashes before I get a turn 100 percent. I've cleared the cache in the PALM to no effect. After 20 iterations of the following steps I'm pretty much through with this game:

Launch Blitzkrieg
Choose France 1944 (Allies, Normal)
Okay the dialog telling me that Axis gets first turn
Choose END TURN

At some point (sometimes immediately, sometimes not until Germany attacks one of my battleships, but ALWAYS at some time) the Palm resets.

I have to pretty much at this time consider this game an unplayable waste of money.

Granted, the TX isn't on the list of "tested" devices but you'd think as bulked up as the TX is it would have no trouble with this game.

My TX is pretty bare bones. I don't even like PDAs much and use it for one application (PADict) and now Blitzkrieg.

This is fixed in version 1.44 that you have received. We will upload new files to MatrixGames.
