Why doesn't Gary Grigsby ever post or comment?

I've never seen Gary Grigsby ever post anywhere about his games on any forum, newsgroup or website. Why is this? This is not an attack on Gary, I'm just curious.

Actually, I believe that Gary has posted in either Genie or Compuserve in the late '80s or early '90s. However, he's like Norm Koger ... he'd pop in, say a few words, then disappear for a few months.

If Gary posted here, what would Joel do? [;)] The couple times I met the guy (many years ago). He struck me as a pretty quiet taciturn sort, probably more comfortable programming than talking. Joel on the other hand likes explaining things.

I do know from Uncommon Valor days that Gary does read the forums on ocassions. I for one am glad he spends his time designing and programming, not posting.

He did participate in an "online chat" in this forum a month or two ago. It was pretty neat to hear him comment on GGWaW and WITP. He gave me the impression that working on WITP, especially the AI, was exhausting -- I think he used the word "nightmare." By contrast, he seemed pretty upbeat about the process of developing GGWaW.

The full transcript may be available somewhere here in these forums; I'm not sure.
