Corrupt Digital River Download???

Hmm. The download from DR was as buggy as all getout ... I think ... because when I went to install the file there were a **lot** of error messages indicating that thus and so a file could not be unzipped ...

Didn't stop the game from installing, or running the first (Axis) AI turn.

But when I went to read the manual ... there is NONE.

Lemme guess, this means I have to download the whole EFFING humongous file *again*?

Or is it a bug with Digital River?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Sorry, but it does sound like a bad download that you'll need to try again.

I agree, it sounds like your download was corrupt. The file in the store itself is fine, so the only solution is to download again. You can go to www.findmyorder.com if you need to re-download. Also, use the free utility at www.stardownloader.com if you have internet stability or speed issues and make sure you turn off background programs while downloading and installing (particularly virus scanners while installing).

<sigh> That's what I was afraid of. I was doing it at school with a 1.5 hour download time (it took three hours and stopped randomly, having to be restarted many times), rather than wait the 8-9 hours it's presently telling me its gonna take as I download it here at home .... which I wished to avoid <sigh>

Oh well, I ordered the backup CD as well, just to be on the safe side.
