HD at work when doing produktion

Just wondering what is going on. I play german and when I do the produktion/building of units for germany and its minors the sound picks up just like building is increased nice thing, but my hardisk starts working like cratzy. Just wondering if its just my system doing overtime. Got a AMd 3200+ 64bit, 1024 ram and runing Win XP.

Please make sure you have no programs running in the background. Any number of things could be going on, like a background defrag, scandisk or virus check, system restore doing its thing, file indexing by Windows, etc.
