Where to post for new opponents?

A Ladder is a means to track your success agaisnt a pool of opponents over time. You get points for each game you play, and the better you do, the more points you get! Can you climb the ladder to the TOP? How long can you stay there?

Where to post for new opponents?

Post by Harrybanana »

This is no big deal, but I've noticed that some people wanting to play ladder game are posting here, while others are posting in the "Opponents Wanted" section. I assume either is OK, but for the sake of consistency and ease of finding Opponents for ladder games perhaps there should be a specific location for posting for Ladder games. My preference would be here, but anywhere is fine so long as there is some consistency.

Its a good question.

It makes good sense to post in this forum - to keep the ladder related posts together. However, imagine a potential new player visits the forum. He then checks the Opponents wanted and finds it largely empty because many such posts are here instead. Then we risk losing a new fellow player because of that.

So, I dont really know but welcome the debate.

I suggest that you post in the normal PBEM area but always have Ladder in the heading of the post. That way there's only one place to look for all PBEM games, and everyone can easily find PBEM games when they first look for them.

I agree with the above. I think we should all make it a practice to continue posting and responding to the opponents forum.
