1.87 unstable

Post by worr »

We've had a few game stoppers playing a PBEM with this....it decided to hold up the German turn one round...only let research but no moves. Then it stopped the Russian building...but let it do moves.

Any word on a fix for this?

This is news to us. We haven't had any reports of problems with 1.087. We could use more information on exactly what is going wrong and saves before the problems appeared that allow us to recreate the problem would help a lot.

Alt tab is a killer now.

I was stable before this version...not I get screen lock up's since the new beta.

As for the above problems...it hasn't happened again.

Yes, I've noticed Alt-Tab is not stable for Full screen mode. Windowed mode works ok for me.

Just had the repair screen not work again this game. My partner complained of this before too. Sometimes if you fidget with the sortings you can get it back...but it would come.

What's not working exactly with the repair screen? More info or a screenshot would help us understand what's going on. Do you guys have current sound and video drivers?

Nothing is listed. You have the sort columns, but that is it. No cities. No industries. No resources, etc.

Can you save the game, load it back in and still have the damaged items not be listed on the damage screen? Or does loading a save fix the problem? If the problem remains with a save, please send us a save so we can try to duplicate the problem.

You can mail saves with problems to me at janbs@stofanet.dk

I will take a look at the problem and try to fix the problem in code if possible.

I had the repair screen problem aswell. A way to temporaly solve it until it's fix, is to select the zone where the industry, resource or railway is damaged, then left click on the one you want to repair and right click on it to repair it. Hope this helps you all, though this method is a nuisance, it's better than nothing.

Just an update. The save game I received from Worr worked without a glitch for me. So, either the bug does not persist after saving and reloading or something is wrong locally. If you run into this problem again then please try the following: 1) save the game. 2) quit WaW fully to desktop. 3) Restart WaW and 4) Load the game again. After that please post if reloading fixes the problem or not.

I did the reload thing. That didn't make a difference. I haven't taken the time to reinstalled it yet. So far I'm just using the work around described above. Thanks, guys!
