thanks for the demo

I of the Enemy is a unique real-time strategy game that focuses on a strong campaign story and tactical fighting as opposed to seeing who can collect resources the fastest.

I'm checking the game out right now. Also wondering if there will be a skirmish mode of some sort. And will there be any sort of the editor?

The demo runs well on my system and I'll comment further after playing a bit.

anyway, thanks again for providing a demo.[:)]

There is a full map editor included with "I of the Enemy", which is the full game and the next chapter in the saga, so to speak. But I must confess the manual does not cover it's use in enough detail. I will be posting an in-depth document to help with that on our site.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean about the skirmish mode, though the map editor will allow you to create whatever custom scenarios you would like.

I hope that helps!

Hi,

Thanks for such a quick response. By skirmish mode I mean some way to play the game single player beyond just the campaigns. Games like Starcraft, Command and Conquer, and most others have some sort of mode like this.[:)]

Ah, yes. I see what you mean. I believe the map editor goes a long way toward addressing this as it creates new scenarios that can then be played by selecting the "Custom Games" option.
Again, this option is not built into Ril'Cerat, but is part of the full game. I'm hoping that as things get going, we can include maps created by players for others to try, both for the single player game and the online and LAN multiplayer. I also include some other custom maps that aren't part of the regular campaign.

Thanks,

Oh yeah, I guess that would help! It's really a free stand-alone game but I guess it's effectively a demo as it is the first chapter in the saga. You can find it at:

[&:]You can buy the full game at that website too, right? I was able to add it to my cart for download(402mg). Or is the Matrix version a new one?

I downloaded the retail version from the Enemy Technology website. Checking on updates said I had the latest version.
