You can install it on multiple computers, and you dont need the disk in to run it, I don't believe.

can anyone confirm.... if you don't get a printed manual and the game can be run on a few computers I own.....
IF so then a posted CD does not seem cost effective. Because I imagine I can make my own backups

I can confirm that it comes with a manual, a pretty thick one. Also in the box are a matrix catalog, and a printed quick reference card. I have installed it on two computers, and it works on both. You do not need the CD to be in the computer to play.

Hi Guys

Let me make this even a little more clearer.  The store retailer version does have a printed manual, the Game On Demand version we sell on our online store does not have a printed manual.  We do plan on having a printed manual in our Game On Demand in the near.

Just to be even clearer ;)

the store retailer version is the one you ship(via courier) from your online store?
THe "on demand" version is the download only version?

Also, is the manual B & W or colour?

Does it matter either way? Taking a quick look at the pdf version there isn't much colour in there.

The retail version one is fancier.

No, the retail one is only available in brick&mortar shops. That version comes in a cardboard 5th panel box, with CD, manual, reference card and some promo stuff.
The one in our e-shop comes with a DVD box, printed CD and a PDF manual.

Pretty soon this will be upgraded to how every release from 2007 on will be handled by use.
Every 2007 release (Forge of Freedom was the first one) of us will come also with a printed full color manual. That is if you choose the "Physical" option. The download versions will still come with only a PDF manual, of course [;)].

I expect that we have SS-TGS upgraded to the printed manual version in a few weeks, maybe earlier. So if you want to get a physical boxed copy with printed manual right now you should check a regular shop to buy the boxed retail version of SS-TGS.

Is there any "brick&mortar shop" in NRW, where I can get a retail version?

The retail release was US only so far. so would need a game shop and ask them if they do imports.
You could also ask the fine guys at OkaySoft ( www.okaysoft.de ). They normally do US imports and also carried some of our titles formerly.

But I guess you can order the full blown version from us directly within short time.

I will probably wait for the full blown version with colour manual. Let me know when their is an ETA please
EB is in Australia aswell, not sure if they are the same company as the US EB though... that probably means nothing though supply chain wise

Thank you, well I think I'll wait a while longer until I can get it directly from Matrix Games.

I second the ETA request[:)]
