Dedicated servers status

All 3 are online but only one shows online on the game broker :

Support staff should check this out with the people that are going above and beyond to give us a place to play MP.

I played at Gordon's with Doc. Inferno and we had a blast!

Unfortunately I could not join you guys yesterday, I was busy doing other things.

Now most of yesterday when I checked I saw Doc's Euro server up and running but I have never seen Neogamers showing anything but offline. I have noticed that on occasion that the servers will toggle back and forth between online and offline including mine but does not seem to last long or be a problem once you have connected to the server. My server is not a 24/7 like Doc's so don't think it's a problem if you do not see mine up and running, I've explained my reasons over at SSC. As long as the server is running the right patch, proper ports are open if you are behind a router and your firewall is set to allow traffic anyone should be able to set up a SS server.

I personally don't have a problem getting the server up and running and it runs rock solid, I have yet to have it crash on me. When I'm in game playing I see no lag at all and have been in game with three other players who have also commented that their session was lag free. This is all being done on an old PII - 500mhz with 320mb ram which is not bad for an old war dog. So basically if I can do so can others, and if anyone wants to try or has tried and had problems drop me a PM and I'll try to help.

Did you guys have any problems while on my server yesterday, I only saw one instance where the game shut down (not the server)but that was due to the host leaving the game which as you know will end the mission. The biggest issue I've seen is AI craft nose diving into the ground for no apparent reason, that's something for Milo to look into, my guess is since this game is mainly written for space combat not much attention was placed on ground avoidance. The second issue I've noticed is that AAA's can shoot through mountains and fighters can do the same with their rockets. Since I have no idea if these are known issues I'll wait for the next patch and see if they are addressed, if not I'll be sure to let Milo know.

Server is up with those Planet Op missions I created, I'll leave it up from the time of this post for about 5 hours. Those mission can be played by a single player but are much more fun if you have two or more.

Well that's hard to pin down, the best times to catch us are from Thursday to Saturday nights.

I'm in the US Eastern Time zone along with one of the other players, the third is in the Pacific Time zone and we're expecting a fourth from the Pacific Time Zone. I will usually have my server up from about 6:00PM EST till about 12:00 on Thursdays, Fridays the same sometimes later and on Saturdays 3:00PM EST to about 2:00AM but as you probably know real life gets in the way sometimes and puts a monkey wrench into those plans. The rest of the week would be from 6:00PM EST till about 11:00PM EST when I'm around.

If and when you see it password protected it's usually because we're working on some sort of mission that's in the testing phase and we want to keep it under control.

So I guess the general rule of thumb is, if you see it up and it does not have a password you're welcome to join. If by chance it's getting late for me I will always check first to see if anyone is on and notify them via the Admin screen that I will be shutting it down shortly but will always try to let the players complete that mission if possible.

Milo, any chance you can change the time out length for the Admin panel, it gets very annoying to type a whole message just to find out that the Admin panel timed out requiring me to re-enter my name and password and the whole message again. If it's something I can do on my end just let me know.
