Did the game work before the patch?  What version were you running?
 
Can you post an error log produced after installing the patch?

5.0.0 and yes it worked butt was buged   can't send errer lo sorry

I think I know what your problem is. Make sure that you unzip the file into the Starshatter folder. The file "stars" needs to be in the starshatter folder. Then, try running it. That should fix it.

Hey, Milo, I noticed that running the launcher brings up 5.0, not 5.1. Is there any way to reconfigure the launcher to launch the 5.1 patch?

Long story short, Matrix is working on an official version of the patch with a complete installer that should take care of those niceties.  I wanted to get this into people's hands as quickly as possible, so I released the quick-and-dirty version without a real installer.

Sphynx - which launcher are you talking about?  The one in the Windows Start menu?

I got it to work by doing the following:

The original .exe. got the number 2 added to the file name. I then changed the new .exe to the old name and voila...it works.

Yes, the one in the start menu. Basically, the only way I can get 5.1 to launch is by clicking on the Stars file that came from the patch. Otherwise, trying to get it through the launcher (where you can access the manual, website, catalogues, etc.) results in 5.0 launching. Does that help?

Glad to hear that Matrix is working on an official patch. I also thought it was good of you to release one now. Just keep up the good work, we'll take it when you can get it to us.
