Bandwidth for these goes through Digital River and they have more than we can ever hope to have. We've never had a bandwidth issue with them before and I just did a test download at excellent speed. I'll try to find out why some of you are experiencing slow downloads, but at this point it will have to wait until tomorrow morning, sorry.

Just as a sidenote. If you have troubles downloading large files then we suggest you use a download client like "Stardownloader" available for free from www.stardownloader.com . It will let you resume disconnected or broken downloads. You can even pause them and resume them whenever you want.

Odd. I'm trying again, with exactly the same results (currently around 8kB/sec, although at least the connection seems stable). I downloaded Flashpoint Germany a few weeks ago with no trouble at all, and I've had no hardware, relevant software or connection changes since that time other than doubling my ADSL speed.

Still trying to find out what's going on there. We can't duplicate the problem. Are customers other than Hertston still seeing this? My test downloads from their site are zipping right along. We'll keep investigating until we turn something up.

I'll say this: my dd was much slower than any previous dd. DSL @74kb/sec took a good 90 minutes, didn't think much about it at the time.

Is anyone other than Herstson still seeing slow download speeds today? If so, please e-mail us at support@matrixgames.com so that we can work with DR to see what the cause might be. Thanks.

I just downloaded Supremacy (and also BiN while I was at it) and maintained about 170K/sec throughout both downloads.[:)] A pleasant surprise after the problematic WitP download several months ago...

I will try again over Friday night, and it will no doubt get there in time, but I'm very puzzled if most people have had no trouble.

If it helps, I tried to re-download FPG and got exactly the same result, so the current problem isn't limited to Supremacy. As a control, I tried a download from Fileplanet (West Coast) and that was fine. If there's anything else I can do to pin down the problem, please let me know.
