Big fan of X-Com currenlty on the fence for this one. Push me -

From reading around it sounds as though the stock game is ass, but that Bman's mod makes it worth playing.

1 Is his mod still current for the patched version?
2 Will buying the game and running his mod really make feel like I'm playing Xcom?
3 General thoughts? 39bux is fair?

Running bman's mod takes this game into the stratosphere. It's so customizable now it can essentially be whatever you want it to be. It's also got a quite improved AI, and the graphics are quite solid for what it is!!

As to your questions:

1) Yes. A forum member named Coasty is still maintaining and updating them.

2) Somewhat - there are some differences but this is the closest commercial attempt you are likely to find.

3) Patched, god yes it's fair. Stock, it's not bad, per se, but if you're expecting X-COM redux you'd be a little disappointed. Great fan and mod support have really saved this game.
