A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

Some great reading over at http://www.panzer-war.com/

As I am sure most of you know these mini rules by Steve Lorenz form the basis of PzC. They are very detailed and if Koiosworks can at some stage incorporate even a small fraction of what is on offer there, it will become a truely amazing piece of work (not that it isn't already pretty good [:D])

Although I haven't checked exhaustively it seems that most of the point buy / gun / AFV data tables are virtually identical to the ones used in the game and so may prove a helpfull resource.

Yes - note that Panzer-War was the basis for Panzer Command, with Steve's permission. We did not however adapt it unchanged and whereas the stats are in most cases the same, there are difference. Also, there are in some cases major rules differences as what works on a miniatures table for manual calculations and dice doesn't always work best on a computer. Nevertheless, Panzer-War is the origin of Panzer Command in terms of the rules and stats and well worth checking out if any of you enjoy tabletop play.

In a computer game you can have much finer granularity then in a tabletop game where the math would be too much for players.
