Any advantages of organic formations?

Post by Noxos »

Just wondering, is there any reason why I *shouldn't* take 3 hand picked FJ companies from different battalions with the highest fitness and stubborness rating and stick them under a CO with a lot of determination to do some deep behind any lines nastiness?

Hi,

No real reason....... just remember:

1/ Make sure your gung-ho leader isn't over a command limit due to non-organic subordinates thus incurring additional orders delays.
2/ make sure the raiding companies/leader aren't outside of the command ranges for their organic superior or orders delay for any such unit will be increased.
3/ try to ensure the entire force is drawing from the same base or you will encounter situations where some of your force will be out of supply and others won't. Potentially, depending on where the force is drawn from you may have individual units pulling from different bases all over the map.

sure would be nice if we could player assign bases to cover off operations like the one you describe.

Rob.

So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)
Hmmmm... big place ain't it??
