RE: Dave - please Move part of this thread

So as I think forward, my big unknown is when my opponent starts getting his reinforcements. I need to know when to pull back on the attacks and assure good defensive positions. I would like to clear Grandmenil and secure the high ground to the north of town and prepare defensive positions and rest a bit. I also have to think about exiting any units from the exit objective. I will get VP’s but lose defensive units. I have until day five I believe to make this call (assuming I hang on to the exit objective that long). I am a little concerned I have my armor too concentrated, but for now it is doing the most good where it is. I do not have much in the way of reserves (especially mobile reserves) to plug any gaps – I need to think about finding a way to do this when my assault on Grandmenil is over. For now TG RECKE will have to suffice in this role.

It's indeed a tough call, Yakstock.

Regarding your armor being concentrated. As you say, it's doing most good where it's now. As you transition towards a defensive stance, at least for one day or so, you might want to send some infantry there to support your tanks, and also detach some units to make up your reserve. If phoenix does something like a night march to get on top of them with infantry, they might suffer some grievous losses.

Really great AAR Yakstock [&o]

This is a very unique situation, with two different guys doing AAR on a multi player scenario at the same time, and makes for excellent reading.

I won't be commenting on any of your tactics of course because I am reading both posts and don't want to give anything away.

Thanks for doing this [:)]
