Exchanging Direct to drive games question......

Post by Turka Daal »

Hi there, I dont know if this has been asked before, now I bought and downloaded Conquest of the agean when it was released, Ive not played it for a long long time, its just taking space up on my hardrive.

Since then Ive fallen in love with the AGEOD NCP, AACW and BOA settings and Engine.

Now I have NCP and BOA which I am enjoying Immensely, I would like to get the 3rd game AACW but I havent got the money

I would like to know if its legal to swap games that have been bought and downloaded online, obviously I and whomever I swapped with would have to agree to delete the game files and serials when the exchange is done.

I would be very greatfull for some advice on this.....

Thanks

In case you hadn’t noticed, this is a rather joyous day for CotA players; you excel in bad timing.

I have some advice for you, but it might get me banned.

Dont get me wrong, COTA and HTTR are brilliant genre changing games, but I would still like some advice on an exchange if possible :)

Turka

As far as I am aware, Matrix have no problems with people moving their games onto other people, as long as it is only ever used on one PC...so if you sold it or exchanged it with someone else, as long as you deleted it, and as far as I am aware, it's fine and you won't be breaking the law.

And you can compare responses since the exact same question was posted all over the boards. Don't get me wrong, but one post is enough at about 99,9% of the times....

Turka Daal is new and he's been very polite. Getting stuck into him for his query is uncool. Welcome and all the best mate.

Thanks Neilster, but I did get a bit over eager lol, emmm I managed to find the cash to get AACW so I will get to keep COTA after all :), I kinda work in phases, I will probably be back into WWII in a month or 2 and be addicted to COTA again :)
