CTD when loading user made scenario

Post by JudgeDredd »

I have created a scenario and map and when I load it using the game menu, I get a CTD.

I created the map a while back (pre-patch 3)
I have calculated terrain tables
I have created the map cache
I have saved the map

I went to the scenario maker
I loaded my map
I created a New Supreme Force for Axis and allies and imported the units
I've set the scenario duration
I've set units on the map
I've set objectives for both sides

I don't know what else is wrong.

When I load the scenario, I get the attached pic....the details of the error are a load of text (you may want to enable the text box where the error info is displayed, so people can copy it for you to view) and c:\temp\394e_appcompat.txt

Got pissed off with it Dave, I deleted the scenario...decided to start from scratch.

I've created the map, map cache and terrain tables, so as far as I'm aware, the map is ok.

If I get problems again, I'll let you know.

One thing, though...I loaded the Clash of Armour (NA) scenario to export the force list and tried to import it into the scenario, but it wouldn't import, saying I needed a Supreme Force...so I created a Supreme Force, but when I imported the force list, it had a supreme force unit as the head unit...so I kind of had two supreme force units.

What I hoped for was when I exported the units, it exported them in it's entirety (which it did), but what it wouldn't do is allow me to import it in it's entirety without creating a supreme force...but the exported units list (xml file) HAD a supreme force unit...Deutsches Afrkiakorps

I'll redo it and not go by memory, but read the scenario maker again.

Thx Dave

Judge,

I realise that the Supreme Force item is a bit counter intuitive. In fact I have a TaskTracker item to revise the way this works. But it's low priority at the moment. For now just rename the Supreme Force you created to macth the intended senior unit, but don't place it on map nor include it in any reinforcement schedule. Use the imported senior unit for that. In other words use just as a place holder. That's how we do it here.

JudgeDredd,

Please excuse my ignorance but what does "kk" mean?

Damn you're OLD Arjuna! [:D]

kk has become the latest rage in netspeak among adolescents as a substitute for OK.

And NO, Judge, I know better than to think you're an adolescent.....you're just being cute in trying to "sound" like one![:D]

Yes I may be OLD but at least I'm courageous enough to admit I don't know and ask.[:'(][;)]
