CTD - Tutorial 1 With Latest Patch

Post by Adam Parker »

Oooh that's a shame!

Playing the 1st Tutorial just as a regular game. Had the US AB moving at double game speed to their first objectives. Game crashed to the desk top.

Maybe serves me right trying to R&R with this virus (human!) I currently have!

Game loaded off a disk which Win XP had a lot of trouble initiating but otherwise the install and patches seem to have worked fine. No save I can give you.

I think I'll just go back to the rulebook, unistall try my CoTA and await BftB.

Adam,

That very strange indeed. We have never before received such a report. That's not to say there couldn't be an issue with our game but I doubt it. You mentioned you had problems installing from the CD. Is that correct? What CD version was it?

Can you try again and observe closely and report back to me exactly where and when ( game time ) that it crashed? Is it repeatable? Is it just that scenario?

I appreciate your not 100% well, but do get back to me when you are able. Regards,
Dave "Arjuna" O'Connor

Sorry Dave, after the crash I uninstalled the game.

I heard that Close Combat 5 for example, (though ran fine on my old XP machine) has problems on the new dual core systems and mine ran slow when I tried to run it for the first time the other day.

So I assumed HttR might be having a similar issue and didn't want to perservere. Maybe my new-ish system (Intel E6850 Dual Core 3Ghz, 4Gb Ram, nVidia 8800GTX) is too powerful for it?
