Map Altitude Layers

Post by Rooster »

Can units navigate across jumps in altitude greater than 10 meters (e.g. Can they go from 10 meter terrain to 30 meter terrain without first crossing a 20 meter layer)?

I'm designing a map and, topographically speaking, want to show a jump in altitude much like that of a steep slope.

Thanks,

Dan

Just put the layer edges very close together. The MapMaker, when it calculates the terrain tables, smoothes out the terrain to produce a full range of intermediate elevations - there aren't sharp jumps in the game. I would avoid going straight from one layer to the layer two above though.
