it doesn't deserve to be!

wow, i just took a crack at the war engine in earnest and it is really really cool. after looking far and wide for something that will let me approximate mini wargaming on the computer, it might have been under my nose (and completely free!) the entire time!

and with tremendous foresight by the developers such that it seems very easily moddable with gimp or photoshop too!

so i'm not gonna swear commitment or allegiance before i even get started but i just want to make it known that i'm gonna start mucking about and trying to make different mods and so i will probably be asking lots of inane questions here!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INITIAL VOLLEY OF QUESTIONS:

1. one would imagine that TWE would have inspired lots and lots of modules and scenarios from the community and lots of fan sites. i can't find any. what gives? conspiracy?

2. where might one find more scenarios to try out?

3. what is the best way to model SUPPRESSIVE FIRE? the mechanism for heavy machine gun is already present and perfectly acceptable (weapon can't fire this round if moved)... but how can i model PINNING?

4. i'm looking to create scenarios that are about the scale of warhammer 40k... i'm assuming that i can't mimic the multiple "models" belonging to a single unit/squad and the need to maintain "UNIT COHERENCY" so i'll skip all that.

i want a single unit to be a squad.

any tips on scaling? squad/platoon/company etc?

i figure make squads size 2 and have health be something like 10 (10 man squad) but not sure how to scale weapon fire etc...

thanks!
