Cool game returns!

Nice to see this one come around here for a free download. I was the maker for GWTC mod for this game, have an expansion I put together for it a while after it came out. I think I still have the expansion somewhere on a CD. If people start to play this game again and want the expansion, I will find it and can upload it. I remember I added a bunch of new units and done some pretty good things with the expansion and me having vista and seeing this game still runs on it, pretty interesting I think.

If you've found the expansion you did for GWTC I'd be interested in that. I've had a play of your mod that shipped with TWE and it looks good.

On the face of it TWE looks like a good tool for doing those wargaming projects I've been wanting to do for years, e.g. a BTN/REG level BattleTech mod. There's a lot of configurable parameters you can tweak and adapt and it's got an AI you can work with. However searching around there does not seem to have ever been that much work/interest. So before I spend too much time trying to get it going have you got any hints, thoughts on whether I should go for it or if it's best to keep searching for that elusive bit of software to make games.

Hey, I would like to download the War Engine.....am new to this.....I see where it says Matrix Games Classics, free downloads, but when I click on it, it just get more forum chat on the game.......where and how do you download it for free!!!!! Same with War in Russia, though I hear it wont run easily on Vista. Really, sometimes I wonder when Matrix sets up these sites and discussion trees, if they are trying to be cute, or maybe Im just that dumb, sigh, would appreciate any tips, thanks.
