Battle Report: Lyhrrus vs. Michael

Post by Lyhrrus »

2 Battles

First one on Mediums in classic terrain. He got a Laser Man (PC homemade I think, saw, PL, ML, and 3 MGs) and I got a Harbinger (homemade? twin GM6s and AC4s). I climbed a hill. He saw me first but was out of range to shoot me. I launched GMs at him left and right (poor thing had no flares) while he dodged like a madman. Got his LA and LRT red by the time he came close. He zapped me many times, peeling a good several inches of armor off my entire body before I backpedaled out of sight. We met again, him coming up a hill. Somehow I landed another GM rack plus a couple more AC4s. Blew out his LT, but he still stood. Another round of AC4s blew out his LA and he went down. I went into his hex, pummeled him, but he stood up, launched everything into me, including a kick in the groin, and promptly shutdown. That was that, as I bashed him into pieces.

Second one was on assaults in Iceland. He drew a Gun Storm (homemade, twin AC4s, AC7s and GCs) while I drew a Blender (my homemade, AC20, CLG, twin NM14s and NM7s). He had the definite range advantage and started tearing chunks out of me before I had even gone 2 hexes. I tried forest fires and smoke screens to try and hide from his wrath, but to no avail. He kept on pummeling me. Eventually I closed in behind a forest fire that gave me a brief break, but he soon reappeared. Set his forest on fire again (accident this time, was aiming for him, I swear!) while he continually banged more shots into me. I was limping by then, he had my LL red and my heat reg damaged. Finally I got behind another set of forests which allowed me to fix up my heat reg. Soon after, one fire went out and we saw each other again, 2 hexes away but out of LoS. I moved into some dense woods and got an AC20 headshot. He continually blasted me and eventually ran into my hex where he punched me and then finally kicked my leg off before I could even slap him. On the ground I continuously launched my three remaining weapons into him (CLG + 2 NM14s). Soon his remaining head armor melted off. I tried calling shots into his CT which was also glowing red, but kept on hitting his CBT, which soon turned red as well. After several more rounds of NMs, his pilot was barbecued alive.

Damn my horrible luck, both times.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

Noted. Point of Clarification, this is in addition to the two games you posted on October 9th in the other Forum, yes? If I remember correctly, you both pulled different titans in those battles.

Whoops, I just read the other posts, Naragon. Heh heh. So you're in Arizona too, eh? Where at?

Check the message in your profile! (The features look pretty neat, but the response time is a bit slow in my system.)
