Strength Pool

Post by Desertfox »

Have noticed that my strength pools of artillery and at guns has grown to something like 900 guns a piece, and rather quickly I might add. Does this reflected Soviet units surrendering and the acquisition of captured artillery pieces? Or do I have a bug or something? Sorry if this is a question already answered.

You're probably looking at the tank list in editwir right? That number is not used I believe, the new version of editwir will allow you to edit the art/at/flak pool numbers for both sides.

No, not in editwir, I am in a game, I hit UTIL, and then investigate POOLS and in the right bottom corner it gives me # of men, # of artillery and # of AT guns, that is where I see 900 for each.

Well, it depends on what turn you see these numbers. They may, depending on how the game goes, go much higher than 900. The Soviets in particular might see a large build up over time. There is nothing wrong with 900 or better numbers in these pools, unless you are seeing this at the beginning of Campaign '41. These pools should start at less than 20 each. Also, note that the AI has double production so will accumulate these things quickly.
