Can't see troop numbers because of so many characters on fleet

As per title. When I have a large fleet, or a moderately successful fleet, I acquire a lot of Generals, so many in fact I can't see how many troops I have. I can look at each individual troop transport but it's not exactly ideal. Is this number shown anywhere else?

Edit: Thinking about it, on planets the characters are packed together so they take up less horizontal space allowing you to also see the troop icons, whereas on the fleet screen the icons are distinctly side by side with no over-lapping. Overlap them and the problem would go away, unless you have fifty characters, or whatever. Basically ensure enough space is cleared to show the current/max troop numbers as a figure and use the remaining space to the left for character icons.
