Strategic Command American Civil War, will be available on June 30th
Image

For the first time in the series’ history, Strategic Command will be taking you to the 19th century battlefields of the American Civil War. In this turn-based strategy game, you will control the armies, research, production and diplomatic policy of either the Union or the Confederacy during a time of great innovation and dramatic battles. Your decisions will determine whether the United States leaves this conflict as one nation or two.

Out on June 30th.

How about letting people prepurchase and giving them Beta access if they do?

Same here, can't wait.

Will order at first opportunity be it preorder, early access, or normal release.

Would love to see an early access.

Hello, thank you all for showing such interest in Strategic Command: American Civil War, we're excited about this title too.

Sadly we do not have any plans for a Pre-order for this title, however, there is now not long left until release (at the end of this month).

Regarding beta access for pre-ordering of the/a game, that has never been a thing we here at Matrix games or in the Slitherine family have ever done or will consider doing anytime soon but thank you for the eagerness to be involved, always promising to see.

Very interested and intruiged to see if the SC system can handle the ACW. Given how bloody the system can be I am concerned with a relatively low unit count that forces may be decimated within a few months...

Any chance of showing an AAR prior to release date to put my mind at rest ? ;)

Thanks Ryan.

I am particularly interested in how the game system handles 1862-64 and seeing if it avoids being just a long front line like WW1. So far the "lets plays" only cover the first turn or two but I will keep my eyes open for more content.

Best of luck with the release.

Well there will be Multiplayer Content soon for YouTube. Colonel Prem {Gaming With The Colonel] and I [Balthazor's Strategic Arcana] were running mirror matches and recording them...but it was Beta version 1.00.01, and we just recently heard that our MP mirror matches won't continue upon release. So, we are going to restart a new campaign and start hopefully on June 30, with turns going up public on our channels shortly after.

We are planning to redo the Blue and Grey Campaign, I as CSA, and The Colonel as Union.
Announcements on both channels should be going up soon..and I'll post links here of that when it happens.

Included are the YT thumbnail banners we will be using for our respective channels. It should be episodic 😎

Spectacularly good news :D

Thanks for those two links I will subscribe to both channels as I was not familiar (to my shame) with either of them.

I shall be looking for some Reb tips especially ;)

Sounds like the issues have been resolved, can you confirm?

Very interested in this game. I've looked at the videos and it seems to be a good balance between gameplay and realism. Some ACW games are too abstract, others too detailed. I'm hopeful SCACW strikes the right balance.
