unconnected railroads?

Post by Pocus »

Hi,

There are 2 railroads locations where I wonder if this is a miss or done on purpose. One is the lack of easy connection between the Shenandoah valley and the rest of the CSA, unless you travel to Alexandria.

The other is 4 hexs east of Nashville, no connection between Dover and the hex south of it.

And yes I use armored trains a lot :-)

Hi,
I guess It might be caused by historical development of railroads. When I was doing my historic Mod I spent quite a lot time studying early XX century maps. Very often I encountered "unfinished" railroads. Also in USA in this time there was not central government, so it is logic that infrastructure was built in uncoordinated way, each state by on its own.
And yes, this makes me angry about using Armored Trains in Virginia especially :/

Both of these are deliberate. Railroad building at this time was... chaotic, to put it nicely.
