1861 Blue and Grey Mod (simultaneous weekly turns)
Early stages of development but I'm working on a 7-day Simultaneous mod Corps, Division, Brigade, and Regiments. I have dropped the idea of having Army units in the game. Watch this space for more updates soon.

Confederate purchase screenshot showing new Nato counters graphics, I'm working on nato graphics first because they are easy to do.

Re: 1861 Blue and Grey Mod
Corps will become available by date and not by research as per standard game, date at when they become available is still to be confirmed after further investigation.

Re: 1861 Blue and Grey Mod
Corps research is now replaced with Medical Services Research which improves all unit types morale by 10%

That's looking good so far. They seem more colorful.
I'm hoping in the future something can been done for the naval and riverine units in the Nato format. Currently, just having capital letters sitting in a counter is visually uninspiring.
I've been tinkering with using ship silhouettes, but they come off as hard to read.

Hi devoncop everything should work same as standard game for multi play as long as both players have the mod installed when it's finished.

Hi Platoonist I have still to work on naval units but I think I will do something like the mod I created for World at War.Platoonist wrote: Sun Jul 03, 2022 7:24 am That's looking good so far. They seem more colorful.

Oh a new ship counter set is sorely needed for us NATO aficionados!
Nice mod idea too Kirk23. Like the idea of Army size units (gotta be expensive) and the Medical Services tech.
Platoonist, even your work in progress on your ship counters are an improvement. Inspiring indeed.

Cheers Kirk
I am usually a sprite guy but this counter mod could well convert me to the dark side

Thanks for your efforts on this.

Hi OldCrowBalthazor I never released my World at War mod, I created it for personal use but I think I will make it available to anyone who likes what they see. I will post info about the mod on the World at War forum in the coming days.OldCrowBalthazor wrote: Sun Jul 03, 2022 8:35 am Oh a new ship counter set is sorely needed for us NATO aficionados!

Re: 1861 Blue and Grey Mod
This looks very promising.
I really like the idea of Medical Services research improving morale. That is such a good idea it should be in the game.
