Say No to King Cotton: KZ (Reb) vs Raptor341 (Yankee)

Everything is a little bit more fun with a little AAR.

It's a "Battle of "Newbs"" as far as this iteration of the SC series but both players have good experience with the SC engine. First MP on this scenario for both sides, so a pure AAR not contaminated by meta.

Right off the bat, I say no to King Cotton.

Fair point dear viewer. I just don't think the euros will get in this, too easy to get them to look away. I do need their weapons but I don't think I can convince anyone to send soldiers. Even though I'm selling cotton and care less euro opinion, I want to keep a close watch on my ports for mpp and morale. This extra influx of money from the cotton sale will allow me to buy some brigade before too much of them spawn on the map and my unit limit is reached and can't buy them anymore. These extra brigades should be able to keep my trading ports safe until at least the later phase of the war.

For Tech, I get Fort Modernization right off the bat (double chit). Other techs will have to wait the brigade buying frenzy...

Probably the best move game wise and historically. King Cotton got dethroned once the Egyptians decided to double and triple down on cultivating the stuff.

Well, this makes me feel great for resigning right off the start (RL stuff, jumped the gun on a new MP opponent because I haven't played yet either). I love AAR games.
