Beta testers: multi-player game feedback re CV house rules?

Post by Feinder »

Howdy.

My current game is multi-player vs. Ngineer in the main campaign.
Does anyone have any feed-back on House Rules particularly for Carrier settings?
As in, for WaW, most folks had House Rules to keep CVs as either Mixed or Bombers. If set to fighter only, they they got a second defensive and tended to shred incoming attacks.

Does anyone have any feed-back as to if those house rules should be in place for WitP?
Should they apply to CVs, and CVLs?
Or, he and I can just go with "no house rules" and we'll end up being the testers.
Old Crow - I saw you did a multi-player game, any thoughts?

We're not at the point yet, where our CVs are tearing at each other. But I figured we'd set out our House Rules before we get to that point. Any feed-back is appreciated, including if Dev(s) had opinions as well.

I honestly didn't see a problem here with CV vs CV combat during the beta. I think that house-rule we used in Elessar's mod was specific because of the larger numbers of CV's and CVLs at hand and the scale, which is quite different.
I could be wrong on not suggesting a house-rule thats the same here with Day of Infamy.

Sure. Thanks OCB. I'll call him tonight, and see what he wants. If anything, we'll just run with no House Rules (probably his preference), and it'll be interesting to see how it plays.

Thanks!

Yeah I am curious too. I am running am MP of the TRP-World mod with its vast map and large number of ships. We didn't house-rule like we do with Elessar's mod, and I haven't seen a problem. We have been in some big fights btw and didn't see the behavior Elessar and I was seeing in his mod.
