I did it! from the first page of this thread as you say. unzipped and went through the "installing admirals edition beta update for patch7" and when I click on the icon on the desktop it opens the game on the 1.1.11.23u version. What am I doing wrong?

After installing the beta upgrade, you need to manually place the updated files in their respective folders. The updated files can be found in the folder labeled "beta2". Just have a look at the file modification dates, and replace them accordingly (don´t forget to place a copy of that one .DLL in the tracker folder also, in case you´re using the tracker).
Cheers

thanks martin. meanwhile I tried to move the current Beta2 folder outside the game directory and re-installed and now have the x7 version. now I'll do what you are suggesting to do to make it work. thanks to you all for the quick answers!

mmm...I'm sure you don't need to do so.
Just download, extract & install.
Then use the beta .exe to run the game.
That's all (folks?).

Trying to install the latest patch, when I execute AEupdate1123x7.exe I get the following error;

Cannot create gentee.dll!

I tried moving the exe to the Witp/AE game folder, same issue, using Admin account, windows 7 pro.

I got this fixed by renaming the Beta2 folder inside the WITP AE folder and then rebooting my PC before reinstalling the patch. I don't know why, just renaming the folder didn't work, I didn't have this issue with the April Beta patch.

It is posible to add infro at which port size that ship need for full rearm ? like this DD need lvl 5 port, thsi CL need lvl 5/6...etc.
I think it will be imposible to show for each weapon individualy, still showing max value will be very usefull.
And need to say, milion thanks for showing meaning of ship classes, it realy help a lot.

I would like to see all this formed into an official patch so we all agree we can upgrade ( one of my opponents will and two will not) .

Its excellent work ( Thanks Michael) and Matrix should put out an official patch.

What happens when you and your opponent are using different game versions? I am updated to 12x7 , but I get a WARNING message that my opponent is still using 12x4.

I know that the code is executed differently ie the weather could be clear in one version but its storms in the other, but does it also screw other things?

I can easily add a 'return to pool' to the anchored ship list for a base. It will allow you to pick which type to return.

Great idea!

While we are at it - a filter for LCU / airgroups in the "Load TF" screen would be nice - i.e. "show LCU only" and "show airgroups only".

So true. Michaelm should publish his postal address and his favorite whisky/beer/chocolate etc. brand, so we can send him some gifts!

+1 - plus his own 'enhancement request list' so that he gets a nice variety of whiskey/beer/female entertainment/etc.

You can filter by type of LCU. Turning off 'All units' shows AGs.
However, I just noticed that it does not remove the units from the list like other filters, but just changes color of the 'load' text.
