Manpower sounds like a good topic for a future argument in a thread. Are those stats adjustable or modable?

I think the national morale ie: deaths, resources, etc should be the way it affects when the game ends.
 
Hardcoded 'ends' are, as stated by others, easily exploited by players not to mention slightly boring. If the player had to constantly be on the lookout so as to not lose masses of troops, it would keep the grey matter ticking and thoughts of sideshow struggles alive.
 
As long as the AI can handle it well of course....
