By the way ... those screen shots show the BIG tracers ...

I'm going to make another set of smaller ones.

I'm looking forward to it Mraah! [8D]

Think you could make the green & white halo just a bit smaller than that previous screenie too?

Very soon!!! I'm calling them HIGH RES TRACERS.

I couldn't make then smaller [:(] ... however I made them dimmer.

I'll have three variations to start :
1. BRIGHT
2. DIM
3. LOW

The below screen shot is my LOW setting .. compare to previous examples.

I like low better.  High looks like something out of Star Wars.

Nice work Rob, much better than stock.

However the "big" first tracer you can't fix by just changing the source files as the game engine scales it up regardless of source size [&:]

That doesn't mean you can't make them look better and it looks like you are on the right track.

Maybe you should offer a true to life mod (eg no tracers)

Yeah ... me too. I shrunk the bullet ... I'll try variants where the bullet is bigger and make it more transparent.

I'm running out of time at the moment (have to work mid-shift tonight in a few hours) ... so I wanted to get this early v1.0 out.

V1.0 is up :

Thanks!

Thanks Stridor ... Yeah, the no tracer mod sounds good. I'll work on it tomorrow morning after my mid-shift (9:30 CST now for me).

The only way to "fix" the big tracer was to increase it's transpareny (alpha layer more black)... giving it a glow rather than a square blob.

Like Mobius said ... kinda like a Star Wars mod ... but still screen shots give no justice to live movement!

That was my experience while messing with the png files but you have far more patience than I do for finding the right mix.[&o]

Ok, I've added some tracer adjustment to our wish list.

I have to say though, great work Mraah! Those look great from the screenshots.
