You new guys are getting a taste of what a real Game company/publisher is all about.......Matrix is above everyone when it comes to support for all their games. Not taking away from Codeforce either.
Yes we are and yes we are impressed. New loyal customer right here. I have to say I'm enjoying the community too. You're all a good bunch.
Thanks for the news Erik.

RE: Update Plans...
by posting the thread gets "bumped t othe top of the list.." like I just did, and u, and E
"Tanks forward"
RE: Update Plans...
It means if nobody posts in the thread, it goes down the list as new posts are made. Since the person dosn't really have anything to say, but wants it to be kept visible on page one instead of it falling behind so new people can see it and maybe not make posts about it, the person just saysORIGINAL: drillerman
What does bumping mean?[&:]
"bump" to bring it to the top. Most forums usually let you do this once in a while but not ever hour or even every day.
RE: Update Plans...
Of course he can do what ever he wants lol. But he still has to set an example. He can't do it all the time, or else everyone will be bumping their posts all the time. [:-]ORIGINAL: freeboy
but E is the man.. really he can do what he wants, no?
Basically by bumping this up, he is showing new members that they are still working on the game.

RE: Update Plans...
It's just an old Internet saying I guess. I can't remember where it originated from. Bump is like a nudge or a tap. To me "Bump" makes more sence than "Pull" or "Lift"ORIGINAL: drillerman
Shouldn't it be Pull or Lift to the top! How can you bump to the top.
I guess it's where you learned English from. Dosn't "Lift" in UK mean "elevator" or "esculator" in Canada?

RE: Update Plans...
No, the elevator is the moving staircase! The lift is the lift!
However, depending upon the context:
1. "I say old chap would you mind awfully helping me lift my piano up the stairs."
2. "I say old chap, shall we take the lift or the stairs".[:D]

Huh?
RE: Update Plans...
The elevator with the stairs is the escalator in Canada.[:)]
I would take the stairs, but my wife would take the elevator [:D]
( escalator is the moving stair case, elevator is the box that goes up and down.)

RE: Update Plans...
Hi Everyone,
Here's the latest news - we are making steady progress on the next update, but it will take 2-3 days longer than we had planned, as we want to make sure that in addition to fixing serious bugs we finish some interface enhancements and address some issues in the areas of ship design and fleet management.
Elliot has spent a lot of time focusing on the memory and load save issues as well. Turns out there are several factors involved here - he has optimized the graphic loading and reviewed how DW is using graphic memory when drawing the screen and we've saved a lot of memory in those areas. There's more work he can do here, so he'll continue with this area, as well as fixing other issues.
In addition to memory optimization, these are some of the other issues fixed so far:
* Fixed Trade negative money with another empire (tm.asp?m=2418787)
* Fixed crash when attack abandoned ship (tm.asp?m=2418633)
* Fixed drawing crash (tm.asp?m=2419321&mpage=1&key=)
* Fixed Design values for Recreation center and Medical center components (tm.asp?m=2417704)
* Fixed bug where could build advanced designs without proper tech (tm.asp?m=2419094)
* Ships evaluate space monsters as stronger threats, keeping their distance from them when attacking (tm.asp?m=2420346)
* Fixed UI issues after history events from Zenox (tm.asp?m=2419586)
* Fixed exploration ships sometimes getting stuck
* Fixed Design screen issues (tm.asp?m=2420971)
* Fixed refueling issues (tm.asp?m=2422103)
So at this point I expect we'll have a beta by Tuesday, with an official release shortly thereafter.

RE: Update Plans...
Good to hear that.
Keep doing good work but I still wonder how some of this bugs and other things get past by betatesters.
But hey you are not alone. I see games with more agressive insectoids race:).

RE: Update Plans...
Erik,
That's much more than I expected from this update. Good job! I hope my crashes are over with this one.
Could you please elaborate a bit more on design screen and refueling issues. What exactly have you changed?

RE: Update Plans...
will it include the option to disable the notification you have to click through every time you upgrade a ship design? or at least do away with it altogether?
