Sorry GrumpyMel, didn't notice your post before responding. I'll see if everyone wants to entertain a fifth player and if so add you to the game.

Turn 2 sent to Phil.  The Empire (AI) and The States (Allan) declare war on Peoples Republic (AI). Germania (AI) declares war on Burgundy (GrumpyMel). Dragon Empire (AI) declares war on Nippon (Phil). Three of the five human players are now involved in a war.

Turn 2 sent off to Huadrauf.

The two players not at war must be loving this.

On another note, I would propose that either we do not allow three player alliances, or that a three player alliance can not win the game (it has to be broken up at some time). Three on two might be very painful. Although two on two on "odd man out" would be painful for one of us.

Turn two sent to Allan...

Regarding alliances I think it is better to have 2 vs 3 (force factor 1.5 to 1) than 1 vs 2 vs 2 (force factor 2 to 1). Or we decide not to have alliances at all.

And yes, I love peace ;-)

The problem with peace, assuming those at war are winning, is they are capturing cities and resource hexes while we are not. I'll likely be at war with Germania sooner than later.

But a good offense needs a good preparation. Nothing worse than sending unprepared greenhorns into the meat grinder, especially since defenders got stronger in ATG...

Turn to Phil.  I'm in trouble. Following my attack on Germania, the sneaky Sultinate (AI) declares war on me. Any assistance would be appreciated.
