Here I cut off a portion of a Russian Army in the Center and if the mud had not set in I do feel this would have pushed me onward to Smolensk or at least made it easier. My casualties are around 100 thousand at this point.. and my men are not ready for a refit but the mud has conspired here. I Perhaps should have did a PG Transfer here to ensure another encirclement !!!

Yes, the logistics are particularly tough once the Red Wall gets set nobody gets through I have figured that. I haven't done fuel drops but I don't think that would be enough to get what I need done. At least now. The Red Army is setting in ... I think that with the settings as tough as they are. There are so many Red Reserves you will have a heck of a time not running out of fuel. Panzers/Motorized are great on open terrain but the AI masses large clusters you cannot maneuver. So the Infantry bust through before it's too late or like you and me 'mud' ... stuck ... Moscow no way

curious to see what you'll find at Smolensk.I pushed hard in the center one game, logistics got the better of me and the wall i met at Smolensk. You do any fuel drops to your PG's?

Nice pocket but waste of fuel, I wonder if swinging North to support AGC would not be better aligned with my plans

Avoiding the 10 PP cost I do not post AGN Panzers/Motorized across the border. Though I do attack from AGN Sector Southward an attempt to clear the pockets building so I have a possibility of flanking and ongoing. 14k in fuel now pumps into AGC, after Minsk gets up but I am now edgy on smacking through this. (plus I think I got a Card bug on General Focus which will cost me, two Generals in good standing lost focus, weird but not sure) I counterattack instead of changing posture against Soviets in the Pripyets and use Tac Air..this way I don't need to change posture and they're well rested...

I back up my Finnish Forces to try to entice Russians to fight here. The Finnish do have the best infantry I think in the game and I'm annoyed I'm not bleeding them here now... While I can, in case this does ever make it to Leningrad!

Losses and army sizes(Conscripts are in arms) I think my Generals degrade in value over time and that's why I lost focus, but not sure :C very painful that or OKH had something to do with...Russian Conscripts get annoying, vs the AI you get a lot more uniforms than vs a Human Opponent.. I found this out the hard way..

AGC lost focus and is fighting to keep Minsk Supply Open to the front line... I am pushing beyond Polotsk and an praying I can somehow encircle here or get around here but there is 3 or 4 red divisions 2 hexes back(tough to find a way through and lock these units out of supply so I can take this ground

Up around 1.5 Million Russians dead, nearly 250,000 surrounded(if I can do the Gomel Pocket) I moved My Panzers North in an a vague attempt to push against Smolensk and I'm still 3 or 4 hexes away and cannot breakthrough and the AI has flooded tons of reinforcements so... things are not so well but Kiev fallen/Gomel Fallen/maybe things will change...

Well, had enough of this game... So I began anew and tried some very revolutionary tactics... Caution to the wind and attack/attack/attack. In the end I destroyed a bulk of the Russian Army and 1 Panzer Army stopped running about 8 weeks back due to a lack of resources to keep it in the fight as well as losing an entire Army in the Baltic for 80% of the game... Though didn't need them, the forward units destroyed the Russians. Every time the Russians went to sneak to attempt to breach my lines I would just encircle larger pockets. I thought about playing on but I think that there isn't much left to kill and I'm proud but took me awhile. Long time since I played this type of tactical strategy game.

spent most of the past 3 or 4 turns running infantry to finish off Rostov(no oil left in the tank at all) they managed to finish the job... IN this game if your Panzers/Motorized don't finish the job by September they are pretty much finished. Something that's difficult to grasp at first but I don't see how a human opponent could let them run so free and easy... and I have noted human Soviets Clump Large Formations of Soviet Divisions making walls. Impenetrable walls! If they know what they're doing..

(Human Opponents are not pushovers)
