Dumb question, can I update the steam version with this update?
Not dumb at all.
You can always manually update the Steam edition by overwriting files with a beta.

With the range of the SM-6 being extended to 200 NM should not the Aegis data link also be extended to match the missile capability?

So for what it’s worth, the update does not work on Steam versions.
Unwrapped the update, copied it over (replacing anything it could) but when I tried to use the 4K fix it just crashed (the 4K exe I think) and just said some file was missing.
I tried this several times so..... it seems like it’s not working. I play on a 4K tv with high DPI settings (otherwise everything is tiny) so it’s necessary to get command to load.
Otherwise it just sits forever on the loading screen, in 4K with anything other than 100% dpi, forever and never starts.
Do you guys know when you might have a fix for this?
Thanks,

Newport News looks good butORIGINAL: Dimitris
• Copied CA Des Moines & Newport News to DB3K from CWDB.
Hazards of copying from an older unit DB (CWDB) to a newer one (DB3K). Sensors and mounts can be entirely different and each must be handled individually.Des Moines #3221 (1953-1961) has the upgraded weapons and a CIWS sensor added.
Des Moines #3179 (1990 refit) lost most of the dedicated GFCS radars like MK13, M25, Mk56 etc and no elint/ECM or chaffroc etc.
Check the next release. No ESSM on FFG(X)? I could add weapon records
