RE: Axis Only. Ronnie vs Composer99.
I have begun to think that ‘Artillery’ is a pro-Allied optional rule. It possibly adds one turn to the German conquest of France. And though the Germans have ‘guns’ too, the utility of the French AA/AT is worth quite a bit more. Not having anti-tank assets in the clear hex with the HQ was a grave tactical mistake, particularly if there is one such in Lille. The French ARM should have been in that hex too.

Turn 5. May/June 1940. End of Turn. Reserve Pools.
The important take aways are:
(1) Germany has 1 reserve pilot, but no quality reserve fighter airframes. However, as you shall see Germany will use this reserve pilot to fill the second of two new fighter airfames arriving next turn.
(2) France has 1 reserve pilot, which can be used to fill either the reserve fighter (D510) or fighter/bomber (Potez 631) airframe.
(3) CW has 3 reserve pilots, but no quality reserve fighter airframes.

Won't be for two turns until the RAF will be able to field additional (new) fighter units. Hopefully, the Battle for France will be over then.

The CW will use their Polish pilots to deploy their old CVLs to kill U-Boats with. &/Or their often potent collection of cheap NAVs.

Soviet Asia. Japanese Manchuria.
{Looks like trouble's brewing in Soviet Asia. No doubt in my mind for a while that he's (i.e., the USSR) is planning to surprise and attack Japan.
Maybe a preemptive DOW by Japan on the USSR?
I plan to have the axis move first if they win the initiative (currently at 0 on the initiative w/allies winning ties). I know this isn't good for the long-term but I may even go so far as to ask for a re-roll if the axis lose the first roll. There's only a 45% chance of winning the first roll. And if the axis lose and request a re-roll (+1 for the allies on the initiative) that chance drops to 36%.}

Turn 6. July/August 1940. Start of Turn. Initiative.
[ax] Initiative.
D10(Axis)=5, D10(Allied)=10.
Allies win first roll 10 to 5.
[ax] Axis are pondering whether or not to request a re-roll.
[ax] I know it's probably not good long term strategy but the axis do request a re-roll.
[ax] Initiative. Re-roll.
D10(axis)=3, D10(allied)=9.
Allies win second roll 9+1=10 to 3.
I assume you wish to move first?
