• Removed Duplicate base Truscott in Northern Australia. Legacy from RA
• Corrected the Location of Sydney Island. Legacy from RA.
• Yamato removed one excess radar from the final upgrade on 3/45.
• A few late-war aircraft tweaks and very minor corrections.
• A couple of small J unit TOE issues- Fixed.
• Bearing in mind the extreme 1944 hard coded modifier for allied - Slight tweaks downward to some allied DC.
Tweaked downward J 3 inch ASW mortar and depth of attack of type 95.
• Tweaks to A and J small calibre ship AA guns to bring them back to stock levels from RA levels.
• Aircraft of Kamikaze variant K should only equip Kamikaze units – also tweaks and improvements to K class aircraft.
• Revised Victory conditions - The fall of Tokyo or three cities from the options of Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Hiroshima,
Kobe, Osaka, Yokohama, Fukuoka and Maesa) to land forces before 1st September 1945, triggers an immediate
Allied Decisive victory. If the game moves past the end of October 1945 with victory points less than 2-1 in the ally's
favour, the best-allied result is a draw.

Thank you for your AAR. These have to be the most beautiful maps I've seen in wargaming. Too bad I'm not smart enough to play this game.

Massive air raids on Shanghai - which we expected.

Modern Japanese sub seems to have got very lucky but paid the ultimate price.

we are about to launch a revenge attack on Taipai.

In our game, it's now much better. Some ( 2 or 3) allied standard DCs were ridiculous, and I could find no foundation to support them and did a lot of looking around. I think someone made a bit of a typo in the original game with not many games getting to late 1944.

In actual fact, from what I found DC tech did not change much from WW1, but of course, radar and new weapons did, and they are reflected in the game - I even added the Fido after some careful tinkering.

Reputedly, the late 44 hard code ASW improved is tied to improved sonar rolled out at that time which is accurate as best as I have been able to determine. I just wish instead of the hardcode solution, they had just increased the accuracy of the DC's and/or added a sonar device (implement just like radar in that it increases the target DL, except limited to SS) and handled normally instead of via the hardcode. However, what we have is what we get and as you note, VERY few games ever see late '44 and of those games it is rare that the IJN SS fleet still exists. Hence it is rarely noticed. I like your solution, and since it appears to work may well adapt it in my mod.

Yes, you are very welcome - I also reduced the depth possibility for the earlier J DC as they had the setting too shallow, as they did not know other subs could dive much below 200 feet - even though my mod is hypothetical, I wanted this issue to persist.

I agree about the sonar, etc, but it's still too much, and there is no way of adjusting it other than reducing the DC.

We also took the big DC of the very slow ships, as these ships could have been damaged if the DC had been just stern dropped.

also reduced the 3-inch mortar as that was too powerful.

Please wait for my next patch. Then, you can check it out and adapt from that.
