ATTN: Gamers using the Open Beta for 2.0.11.X

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Rob has been slammed in his day job over the past week plus including the weekends. That has slowed up going after two issues related to helo movement/stacking issues and also a weird helos going defensive AI glitch we are trying to track down before dropping the 11.2 open beta update. We will be talking about those items and time table a bit in tonight's dev call.

Hi,

I just did the scenario Head-on twice with the Beta, and so far I observed:
- Russian helos hardly do anything
- my AD doesn't shoot at the helos (to compensate the first point? ;) )
- in Head On, the enemy comes in 2 columns, one south and a bigger one north usually. When I put my NATO tanks on a ridge north to turn the north highway into a killzone when they ride over it, my tanks always have a huge preference for Recce kills. Even though there is a lot more dangerous hardware visible and moving up, my boys want to take out the harmless recces first.

Skyhigh, thanks for the report. We are working the helo issue right now for the 11.2 beta. The passive behavior is new and is some side effect of work done elsewhere in the code. I can report that the current build AD units are shooting and killing helos and aircraft just fine.
