Thanks, I was using Treespider CHS art as a guide, so his scenario also has the problem.

So there are no bitmaps Standarized for 15 to 160 and 464 to 475

Will go to download other not to scale bitmaps

Thanks

The latest version of Treespider's CHS use JWE's ship databse and artwork for Scenario 99 which can be found here -

http://www.bur.st/~akbrown/witp/scenari ... S_Variants

This is a deprture from classic CHS....so many of the above mentioned slot numbers are no longer used.

Bliztk,
Understand your frustration. There are so many mods and so many modders. One modder's pig is another modder's silk purse. What to do, what to do??

My take on things is much like Cathartes, it has to do with "Accurate Ships". Thing is, it has more to do with accurate auxiliary vessels than CVs, BBs, CAs, CLs, DDs, and such. So I look closely and carefully at vessels that ordinarily tend to get lost in the general wargamer view of things. I found certain inconsistencies that did not allow for a direct 1-to-1 correspondance in CHS, so I developed my own mod to account for this.

If you are a grognard, I have given you everything you need, and problably more than you want, to translate what I did into what you need. I have provided a grognards development kit, not a "drop-in". TomLabel and BigB have taken this idea to new heights. You, as a player, looking for visual functionality, must be intelligent in determining your visual down loads.

My mod is very particular with respect to aux ship characteristics, and is not for everyone. If you wish to play stock or std CHS, then I suggest you look to Halsey for your basic art. Fremen, TomLabel, and BigB have some beautiful takes on the standard art graphics, and I encourage you to download these as potential alternatives.

There is no frustration. I was only surprised that the Standarized CHS didn´t come with those bitmaps. And just pointed the bitmaps, in case they were an oversight.

I already have used alternatives to fill the gaps.

I know that RHS (the mod I intent to play) uses special classes to ships that neverwere or they are not in other mods.

Thanks to all the artists for the magnificent artwork [&o]

There is a transport that starts at Cairns I think that when I click on it, the game crashes...usually that means a missing bitmap. Anyone know which one it is? I figured I'd ask before I went through the reload of the game and crash it again?

CHS + nik AA mods...I got the CHS art pack. and everything is there looked like. I got a crash when I went to look at that AP so I figured it was a bitmap. I have time now I can go in and find it and see who she is.

Just looked...it is the AP Katoomba. The bitmap is present yet it crashes when I try to access the ship data screen. Any ideas?

Here is Katoomba in the database...I swear the first time I looked, it was a schooner. Now it's a Medium AP and I don't have the bitmap for it...

look at the delay...and the experience ratings...

rouge,

With the experience set to zero the ship (or air group) will use the default experience as per the editor manual - there are tables on pages 16 (ships) 34 (air groups). As far as a delay of 141206 goes it just means that the unit is present at the start of the scenario (411207) if the delay was set to 411207 it wouldn't show up until the end of the 1st turn as a reinforcement.

Check to see if the bitmap has the correct prefixes.
AnSide0165
AnShil0165

You might have to replace the bitmap with another.
Could be corrupted.
It's an Medium Allied AP.

If it still crashes find another bitmap that you like.
Copy both Side and Shil then rename and paste to your folder.
Or try reloading just that bitmap from the download.

Looks like you don't have the official version then. [;)][:D]
You could be missing others.

Dixie and Spooky have it on their sites.
DL it and and add it to your site why don't ya.

I DL every artpack.
Then I go through each one and try to select the masterpieces.[&o]

@JWE
Just a question about the packs(many thanks to all how worked on them!!!) for the stock game
When I compare them to the files that are already in the game it seems that some are missing.
For example the allied side has 220 files, but the pack provides only 212. Are the missing files not used?

Also maybe the readme should be reworked because as one here pointed already out overwriting existing files would be better then replacing the complete folder.
When overwriting you can be sure that you have the new files or at least the old ones from the stock game, so another source for possible crashes is wiped out.

@Cathartes
Really nice allied packs. Keep up the good work.
How is it going with Japan?

Every Ship Class in Stock (Scenario 015) matches with a bitmap included in JWE's package. Well almost. Ship Class 1418 (Perth) is linked to bitmap 228, which is missing. The WITP-Package has more bitmaps than it actually uses...

So you have to change Ship Class 1418 (using bitmap 216) or copy bitmap 216 to 228.
