In the real world most DBs started their dives from around 15,000 feet. The game pre-sets DBs to 10,000 and I find they do dive bomb from that altitude. I forget what the altitude range for dive bombing is, but I think 10.000 is about the middle of that range.

I set mine at 12k and they never fail to dive bomb.

Under 10,0000 they won't dive bomb in game. The applicable range is 10,000-15,000

If you set your DB at less than 10000 feet, they are supposed to glide bomb so rookie are more accurate than a fail dive bombing. Flak is more effective too which mean more loss too. Although I don't know if it's the case in the game [&:]

There is also the issue if the there have been beta changes. So what is true for one install might not be to the other.
