I am looking forward to playing this game.

As a new player, my aim is to try first the Coral Sea against the AI and then the Guadalcanal campaign. I don't intend to go beyond this.

In this context, is there a big difference between the 2015 release and the upcoming beta version?

What are the improvements of the new update, beside fixing errors?
Any new features? such as being able to prioritise construction/repair of ports, airfields and forts for example?
Any new unit types? such as hospital ships that give ground support points where they are anchored?

There are some improvements. Read the Readme document in the update. Word of advice, if you download the 1127 patch, do it to a fresh install of AE. There's a new update coming out soon....GP

Will I have to do a clean install with 1126B?

Willing to give advise? Yes. :)

Mature? That is NO FUN!

No, there won't be that much difference between the 2015 version and the beta that I am playing. You might want to try other scenarios after you have mastered the Coral Sea and Guadalcanal scenarios.

Hi,
Sorry, I have another problem with ADEN, my transport or cargo ships do not allow me to load troops. All my planes remain ground. It's a bug ?
Excuse my English

You must be playing a different version of the game than the beta. In version 1.8.11.27 no air or ground reinforcements should be appearing in Aden at all. They mostly arrive in Suez instead. (There is a static support unit which starts at Aden, but it can't be loaded.)

Posting a screenshot might help.

I installed Update v1127 Beta version from Nov 09, 2022.

When launching the application, the version number has not changed, it is: 1.01.27 Beta.

How to load version 1.8.11.27?

What do you mean fresh install of the game ?

Delete all saved files ?

I am French :))

The version numbers are fine. What I mean by fresh install is just that. An install of the game that has not been modified. Brand new install....GP

1. To install the game initially use the WarinthePacificAdmiral'sEdition-SetupRelease-v10079DR.
2. Then install the comprehensive patch to WarinthePacificAdmiralsEdition-UpdateComp-v1126a to the same folder
3. Finally use the beta patch AEupdate1126b to the same loaction. Al this does is put a new exe and all the file needed to run 26b into a folder called beta2 located in the main WitP AE folder. If you run this exe you get 26b, if you run the the exe in the main folder you get 26a.

To install 27 simply copy the entire contents of War in the Pacific AE to a new folder, let call it WitP AE 27. Then install the 27 Beta to this folder and run from there.

If you want my advice stick to 26b until 27 works which it doesn't at the moment.

Can you update in the middle of a game you’re playing, or does it wipe everything out?

You can update in the middle of the game but make sure that things like the map are the same. If in doubt, do a fresh install and just move the .exe file.
