Early Nov and its quiet now...but seriously with the troops the whites had then they could have taken Kazan too. They stopped...but those first few turns were intense! I usually can keep Ekaterinodor down in the Don, lost it very quick this time.

Question à propos des choix politique:

For Yudenitch army, I need your save to catch the probelm ( ie your current turn, and the bacup1 folder). Thanks!

let me known the next turns. Build, build, build as REDs, to get the necessary new units to turn the tide. maybe I should give at start a reserve of EPs to Reds to help them to use conscription or money options. A reserve would be logical,as Reds had before earned some victories. Let me say what you think.

I think the current Red levels of EP, WSU, Money and Conscripts is fine. Remember, the Whites took Tsaritsyn as well in the real conflict, but in RUS they appear shy to push their initial success. Seriously, with this game they could have steamrollered me, probably all the way to Moscow if they were ultra aggressive. Which is good they are not, cos then its game over.

Reds need to requisition first turn and every turn after. Maybe stagger the requisitioning, so do not use it all in one turn, so then you have a constant stream of money, supplies and conscripts. It will take until the end of 1918 to create a formidable stack, usually with Trotsky, whilst sending Kamenev down into the south to build both a Ukraine and Southern Front, so when you create units balance the most with Trotsky to hold the North and West, and use Stalin and Kamenev to counteract the Volga and the Don/Caucasus. Try also to build defences in Kazan, use it as a base to retake Ekaterinburg.

I am sure one day I will write a strategy guide, or at least a Red one. But now is the probelem is it a Fatal Years guide, or a generic one for stock campaign?

Thank. Both versions have followed very different paths in the last months and if some strategies can be common, I don't believe one guide may cover both.

Don't forget Siberian are losing in November Czech troops who are their finest. The Red AI is currently able to contain Siberian AI pretty well, retaking Penza, Kazan, Simbirsk before the end of 1918.

For Southern Whites, I will have to recheck the AI events. But Advance on Tzaritsyn is for them one of the possible plan, but not the only one. Hence a possible cause of shyness in your game.

Yudenich bug fixed. Was a rare one. In fact, Yudenich units should have been created by a random and very rare event, but as Balt regions were yet blocked, the Yudenich Army remained off-game. I've added condition to check if Balt regions can be entered before firing the event.

Thanks. And thanks to all who are playing FY, in spite of bugs and the necessity to start new games. Your reports have allowed me to spare some weeks of labour. [:)]

Late April 1919, and I am fighting Czech formations? I don't play the Whites usually (or at least never played Siberian Whites), so am unfamiliar with their OOB, is this right? I thought they went home late '18?

As in official version, a few Czech units remain in play even after Czech removal event. If for some leaders it's justified, I must confess I have not yet done some searches about the historicity of this point. :-)

For the French, could you send me the save, please? I would like to look at evnts to be sure anything right.
