Desperately Seeking Guide

My opponent is giving me hell in the skies so I'm looking for help. IIRC there's a couple of guides around about airstrike coordination and CV battles, maybe from LoBaron or Bullwinkle. I have two different problems with those guides

1. When I run across them first time I failed to bookmark. Yes, I'm not the most farsighted guy around.

2. It looks I'm unable to make proper use of the forum search engine, I've used comboes of searchword as airpower, airstrike, guide, carrier battle, coordinating air strikes etc. but unsuccesfully. And yep, I've tried all the subforum, not only the main one.

In short: where are those guides? Somebody can help me? Thanks everybody

Another hint with forum searches (from one who has been burned) - the default search only looks through the last 12 months. With a game like this, many of the "foundational" articles are much older than that. If you get to the dedicated search page, you can change that time parameter, but it is surprising if you're not expecting it.

But also be aware that may of the suggestions found in these older articles have been impacted by patchs and the beta changes since they were written.

About searching the forum...search using Google. You would enter the following in the Google search box:

site:matrixgames.com/forums + "War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition" pilots

You replace the last word above ("pilots") with the term(s) you're searching for.

I bookmark this whole Google search and then replace the last word with my current search term after I go to the bookmarked search. That way, you only need to type the search term and not all of the stuff above.

I did start a CV battle guide some months ago, sadly real life intervened and I found myself unable to invest the time required to continue writing it. So it really is only fragmentary information. [:(]

Another hint with forum searches (from one who has been burned) - the default search only looks through the last 12 months.

Before searching at the bottom, at the top of the topic list select "All topics" from the drop down menu for "Show topics from last:". The default is 365 days. If you do this and then search, it will pull from everything.

Some time ago i put in a pdf format a collection of threads from matrix forum and witpae wiki  for my personal use.

(Don't think to find new stuff there. It's only a pdf transposition of what exist in the forum and many informations could be obsoleted, so always refer to the matrix forum whenever you read something interesting)
