3rd party Battle resolution

I've been playing solo and don't seem to get any option (even though 3rd party is selected)

Does this only become an option with Human v Human major powers?

Thanks

Love in the game

A great Idea!

A BW outline version would be all you need.

PS: Don't let it slow down the release though!

RE: CLGA volume 2

<t> Ok,<br/>
<br/>
I'll have a try....<br/>
<br/>
Step 1. as describes where the computer actually decides if there is a battle...no human input..keep it that way...no micro management!<br/>
<br/>
Step 2. Forces deploy for battle (2 phases as described). At this stage you could ask for off ...

RE: CLGA volume 2

<t> Hi Frank,<br/>
<br/>
can you explain a bit more why this is a problem.<br/>
<br/>
would a potential solution be that a list of battles to be fought could be generated and then the user could select which are miniatures and which are system resolved?<br/>
<br/>
Do the results of an early ...

RE: CLGA volume 2

<t> I don't think that a conversion system is needed, people will generally scale their battles anyway based on the miniatures they have avaliable. I think the main things need to be troop numbers, relative quality (any old scale will do), campaign factors such as low supply/fatigue etc. Its up to ...

<t> Hi Frank,<br/>
<br/>
please try for the miniatures system...assuming its dosen't cause crashes even the version 1 system is better than no system...in the end players who don't want the feature will never click the option and those that do will put up with an average interface because its the ...

RE: CLGA volume 2

<t> Hi Frank,<br/>
<br/>
I think the miniatures system is a really big plus for this game. Its the main reason why I purchased the first version, and I'm always after more of the same. basically if someone puts a miniatures system into a wwargame campaign engine I'll buy it (and use it ...

RE: Question regarding miniatures resolution.

Yep...we have had a similar issue...I got around it by listing down the units and types...before we got to a battle!

RE: CLGA volume 2

<t> Congrats on Version 2. Our group loves COTD. We have used it for miniature battles a number of times. Can I suggest that the outputting of OB's and scenario data to an extranal file that can be printed and used for the miniatures game...present system involves lots of scribbling notes down off ...

RE: Campaigns on the Danube What is it like?

<t> Although Off topic/forum......I like it, but we have used it for generating miniatures battles for our gaming group...using a hotseat game.<br/>
<br/>
That is the main reason why I am hanging in on this forum....there is basically nothing avaliable which allows for a miniature wargamer to have ...

RE: miniatures

<t> Sorry if its already been covered....But I find this interesting....I can only think of "campaigns on the danube" as a game which actually allows this....It sounds like a real chicken and the egg to me....there is no demand because no one does it...once it was done then there might become a ...

<t> Hi Guys,<br/>

Please consider the feasibility of allowing off game Ministures resolution of battles...would make the game very appealing to the gaming community.<br/>

Hey guys,

don't forget that the actual 1805-1815 period of the game is 10 years....the Dev team still has 4-5 years of time left!

RE: I just got my own copy (boardgame)!

<t> Here's my 2 cents worth.<br/>
<br/>
For our group we got a copy of the games pieces from the yahoo group, printed them in colour and stuck to card etc. Then printed a colour copy of the map (its also avaliable as a downloadable file).<br/>
<br/>
We then stuck the map to some blueboard ...

Request: Off game minatures

<t> Hi Guys,<br/>
I know that this one is probably too late, or you have already taken care of it....but I figured that "speak now or forever hold your piece" was in order.<br/>
<br/>
One of the big problems with "Campaigns on the danube" is that there is no ability to "print" the OB! Which is ...
