Just bought the game, and can't download the patch. IIRC I had the same problem last time I tried to download a patch from Matrix. Think it was Crown of Glory back then. [&:]

And the leaders should definitely have a chance of improving their skills when they get more experience. Frank Hunters Civil War game did a good job at this...

Only fought a couple of battles yet (they keep on crashing before I can end them) - but is it correct that line-formation is more effective than column when you charge?

And shouldn't it be the other way round??

I second that. The tactical battles takes a lot of time, and a save option would be great.

Fought 3 tactical battles so far (France against Austria/Russia). 2 of them crashed with the Plato MFC error during the second day of the battle.
