RE: The Greatest Tank Ever

<r> Modern tanks are hard to compare cause they tend to copy each other and have never fought.&nbsp; Most probably they will become obsolete and replaced without a war to prove which is the best.&nbsp; The only case was when the Abrams beat up the T-72s of Iraq so easily but the T-72s were a couple ...

The Italians always have a hard time. I read in Osprey that the Aussies in Tobruk actually took sympathy on them and stopped conducting night raids against their positions.

Let's see how do you against the Germans.

It finally loaded. You just have to be patient. On that last photo, why did you skip that V-Hex?1st Photo:Looks like you really cut off those tanks' line of retreat.Nice job.But you could've taken them on with out losing 3 tanks.

RE: Battle for Paris (a Wild Bill campaign)

I used Paint Shop Pro to save the photo but I also have to keep UOSU running while I do this to keep the photo from going black. I hosted the photos on imageshack. The photos show-up for me so it's odd it doesn't show for other people. I think imageshack could be the culprit.

RE: Battle for Paris (a Wild Bill campaign)

<r> On the southern flank, a support package of infantry and a few armored vehicles are delegated to the command of other officers (computer-controlled) and a few paratroopers are dropped to the east to disrupt the enemy's plans. Enemy forces have been culled by weeks of fighting, constant ...

Battle for Paris (a Wild Bill campaign)

<r> <br/>
The US Army battlegroup fights it's way into Paris. Our platoon of tanks meets up with a retreating Panzer IV platoon. A Lee tank explodes while driving around a corner and then a Sherman brews up while going through some trees. Shots are fired into the flat sides of the German tanks as ...

<r> As for WW2, the sherman is the hands-down winner for best overall tank.&nbsp; As for today, the Lamborghini of tanks is the Merkava Mk.4.&nbsp; If you don't agree then talk to the barrel... <br/>

RE: Dragoons at Halfaya 8/13/41

<t> Okay interesting tactics. I prefer high speed advances in surprise advances so I put infantry onto tanks and they go in with recon cars with some trucks or mechs filled with infantry following behind. This was the SS style of assaulting and incurred massive shock and loss on the Russians, and on ...

RE: The Greatest Tank Ever

I like the upgraded Sherman.&nbsp; Shermans were easy to make (highest number of any tank ever built), look nice and are good all-round tanks.&nbsp; The panzer III fully upgraded was a very nice tank too and did good work in all theatres.

RE: Dragoons at Halfaya 8/13/41

<t> You are quite fond of having your recon cars leading the softies with the tanks all kept tidily in the southern flank of each attack group. &nbsp; I take it the tanks swoop up north when the softies are engaged.<br/>

<t> So the Poles managed to cobble together a bit of an attack.&nbsp; Their cavalry charge is their most potent weapon from the sounds of the story.&nbsp; Don't lose faith in the spunky little Panzer II's cause the Germans used them a lot even in big Eastern front fights like Kharkov.&nbsp; <br ...

<t> Good story.&nbsp; Nice clean-cut battle description.&nbsp; Those British tanks don't seem to have much chance against you.&nbsp; I recently read the Osprey stories about the North African battles and Rommel always had a tough time with British tanks.<br/>
