Well by doing that, you allow him to control your play. So he still wins.
And I doubt a pugnacious player is going to 'learn' any lesson from you.

Even if you 'kick' someone 'out', you just gimped the game. You cannot avoid it.

OK? What is your point? I ally with the winner? Never. In any case, I dont bid high, so it isnt an issue.
But if you imagine that a player who realizes he cant win, will play the same, as a player who
CAN win.... your deluded.

<t> Well, actually I don't remember one single game where my plans worked out!
A plan works well - until you see the face of the enemy...
Just my experience!

But more to the point:
Is't adjusting to a new situation one of the real funs in the game?

After my post I had a little look on my map:
Best positioning for FR would be:
Option 1:
Lorraine-province (more defensive)
I was thinking invasion supply from the GB's until an opportune port can be taken.
<t> Hmm,
let me guess! Let AU/PR take Hannover - let them move to Amsterdam destroy the depots behind them and starve them in Amsterdam!
Your way by supplying them by sea won't work because QUOTE:"At least one of these ports must contain a fleet"! And in the beginning neither AU nor PR ...

<t> There was some calculation about the outcome of the first clash between FR and AU/PR!
Well like it was said before there is a 3:2 advantage in numbers for AU/PR and a slight moral advantage for FR... Did I get it right morvwilson?
If there's a price tag to RU help, it cannot be PR provinces!

But maybe PR help in a RU campain for scandinavia or AU help against TU is reasonable...
